Terry Collins said Daniel Murphy (1-for-5, two strikeouts) is “out of gas” and will be replaced by Justin Turner for at least the next few days . . . The last Met to throw seven shutout innings in his big-league debut was Masato Yoshii against the Pirates on April 5, 1998 . . . Collins said he expects Jenrry Mejia to be a September call-up and get at least one start. Mejia is 2-1 with a 1.12 ERA as a starter at Triple-A Buffalo after posting a 5.48 ERA as a reliever . . . Jeremy Hefner will be activated from paternity leave before Friday night’s game and will start against Houston on Sunday . . . The Mets will bring Shea Stadium staple Merengue Night to Citi Field for the first time after Friday night’s game against the Astros. Sergio Vargas, Raymond & Miguel, Juliana and El Batallon are scheduled to perform.
