Washington Nationals add William Howard Taft to Presidents' Race
Perhaps Teddy's first win in the Presidents' Race wasn't a fluke after all.
On Saturday, the Washington Nationals announced that William Howard Taft -- Bill -- will become the fifth member of the Presidents' Race this season. The team introduced the nation's 27th president at NatsFest on Saturday. He joins the lineup of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.
Roosevelt and Taft have a history of bad blood after their amicaple relationship turned sour. Taft served as Roosevelt's Secretary of War but tensions rose when they argued over policies, and Taft was handpicked as Roosevelt's successor as president in 1912.
Once tradition for Teddy to always lose the Presidents' Race, will the Nats have a new loser in Taft?
