WASHINGTON -- Alex Rodriguez said he wakes up "giddy" every morning and said it's because he's never felt better.

Though his power numbers still are not where he'd like them to be, to this point in the season -- and Rodriguez knocked on wood after making the statement -- he has not yet experienced the lingering injuries he did in 2011.
