After the Yankees and Twins finish their rain-postponed game from Tuesday night, Andy Pettitte will take the mound for the Yankees for tonight's regularly scheduled game.

Pettitte is looking to rebound from his only loss of the season, an 8-6 pounding by the Rays last Thursday. The Rays launched three homers off Pettitte, who gave up seven runs -- six earned -- in five-plus innings.

Pettitte is 10-5 with a 3.53 ERA in 20 career starts against Minnesota. That includes a 7-1 win against the Twins on May 15.

Pettitte will again be facing Francisco Liriano, who was starting pitcher for the Twins in that May 15 game. After a hot stretch -- Liriano won four straight games from April 15 to May 2 -- Lirano (4-3, 3.25) has lost three in a row. His shortest outing of the season came Thursday night at Boston, where he gave up five runs -- including two home runs -- in 4 2/3 innings of a 6-2 defeat.
