Fans saw the new ball park for the first time as the Bombers opened up the $1.6 billion stadium with an exhibition game against the Cubs. The Yankees beat the Cubs with home runs from Cody Ransom, Hideki Matsui and Robinson Cano, whose second-inning blast was the first unofficial home run to ever be hit in the new park. Memorable games at the new Yankee Stadium

In 2008, after 85 years the old Yankee Stadium closed its doors. Fans worried that the ghosts from the old park would not make their across the street, but since 2009 the new stadium has had plenty of memorable games. Compiled by Matt Saur
