Derek Jeter (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) made an acrobatic play to get a force out to end the seventh inning to preserve the lead, which the Yanks added to in the eighth inning courtesy of a Melky Cabrera homer, a Bobby Abreu double and a Robbie Cano single.<br>
