Yu Darvish blames Brett Gardner's parents for home runs

Brett Gardner is having a career year. He's batting .276 with a .352 on-base percentage, 17 stolen bases and a career-best 12 home runs to go along with excellent defense in left and centerfield. His .789 on-base plus slugging percentage leads the Yankees.

Brett Gardner's two-out grand slam against Bartolo Colon on Monday turned out to be inconsequential in an eventual Mets victory.

Brett Gardner, David Robertson avoid arbitration with Yankees, reports say

The Yankees have avoided arbitration and agreed to one-year deals with Brett Gardner, Ivan Nova and David Robertson, according to multiple reports.

Gardner will make $5.6 million, according to multiple reports. Robertson is due to earn $5.215 million, according to Jon Heyman. Nova will make $3.3 million according to Joel Sherman.
