Well, not really game-planning in the traditional sense, but Joe Girardi Tuesday morning discussed a little bit his plan for Wednesday's spring training opener.

"You’ll see probably five or six guys that you would anticipated in the opening day [in Boston] lineup tomorrow," Girardi said. "The thing that we have to remember early on in camp is you don’t want to play guys too many days in a row. And some guys are going to play every other day. And your team has to be well represented on the road…rules of spring training [you have to follow]."

Chad Gaudin gets the start Wednesday and posted on a wall in the Yankees clubhouse was a "pitching probables" list for the next several days. In order of how the pitchers were listed:

Wednesday vs. Pittsburgh

Chad Gaudin, Sergio Mitre, Alfredo Aceves, Jonathan Albaladejo, Wilkins Arias, Jason Hirsh, Royce Ring, Amaury Sanit, Zach Segovia.

Thursday at Philadelphia

(probably the only time, other than Thursday perhaps, CC Sabathia and Kei Igawa will be near each other in a sentence this season)
