Not to impose the E-Boland and the Bombers blog jinx, but this should be a good week to be a Yankees fan. The next six games are against AL East doormat Baltimore and then, as interleague play resumes, the not so heated rivalry with Houston, last in the NL Central.

If it seems like the Yankees are playing the Orioles every other series, don’t complain. It makes up for when Boston, Tampa Bay and Toronto are playing them.

Phil Hughes (7-1, 2.54) goes against Kevin Millwood (0-6, 4.29) tomorrow night. Hughes is 1-0 in two starts vs. the Orioles. He has allowed two runs on eight hits in 12 2/3 innings. Millwood, the subject of trade rumors, is 2-5 lifetime vs. the Yanks.

On Wednesday, so-so CC Sabathia (5-3, 4.14) is opposed by Chris Tillman (0-1, 7.71). A.J. Burnett (3-6, 3.71), who gave up in six innings against the Blue Jays, starts Thursday against Jeremy Gutherie (3-6, 3.71).

Then, it is back to Yankee Stadium and three games with the Astros in what could be called the Shuttle Series.
