Yankees fans to rally ahead of World Series

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City officials are encouraging Yankees fans to wear the team theme to work and school in a show of support.

The Yankees face the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night in Game 1 of the World Series.

At 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg will host a pep rally in Times Square. Michael Kay of the Yankees' YES network will join the festivities.
