The Yankees played six games against the Twins this season, all in May, and won the season series 4-2. Here’s a recap:

At Yankee Stadium

May 14: Yankees 8, Twins 4: Alex Rodriguez hit a go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning after the Twins intentionally walked Mark Teixeira.

May 15: Yankees 7, Twins 1: Andy Pettitte shut out the Twins over 6 1/3 innings after missing a start because of a sore elbow.

May 16: Twins 6, Yankees 3: Jason Kubel hit an eighth-inning grand slam off Mariano Rivera to snap the Yankees’ 12-game winning streak over Minnesota.

At Target Field

May 25: Game suspended after five innings because of rain with the score 0-0. It was resumed the next evening.

May 26: Yankees 1, Twins 0 (completion of suspended game): Derek Jeter hit a sixth-inning home run for the game’s only run.

Yankees 3, Twins 2: In the regularly scheduled game, Nick Swisher snapped a 2-2 tie with a ninth-inning home run.

May 27: Twins 8, Yankees 2: Jason Kubel hit two home runs and drove in five runs as the Twins salvaged the series finale.
