Yankees vs. Tigers

For the first time in his career, Mariano Rivera blew three straight save opportunities, allowing home runs to Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez in the ninth inning. Brett Gardner bailed him out, hitting a walk-off homer in the bottom of the inning to give the Yankees a 5-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday at Yankee Stadium.
