Gallinari trey, Westbrook jam Tuesday's top plays
Danilo Gallinari's fadeaway three and Russell Westbrook's emphatic jam topped Tuesday night's list of top NBA plays.
With the Nuggets down two to Atlanta late in the fourth, Gallinari took a pass in the corner, and while heavily guarded, drained a fadeaway trey. The game eventually went to overtime where Denver won, 118-117. Gallinari finished with 19 points in 37 minutes, and the Nuggets improved to 24-19.
Gallinari's play is No. 1 in the countdown.
In Oklahoma City, Russell Westbrook's dunk in the lane was pretty enough to earn him the No. 2 spot in the top 10.
Westbrook's comments -- or lack thereof -- following the game may have made more noise than his dunk, though. With 48 seconds left in the game, Westbrook was hit with a technical for an incident that occurred between him and Goran Dragic. According to Royce Young from CBS' basketball blog Eye on Basketball, Westbrook shrugged off questions from reporters, "almost insulting the intelligence of everyone standing there," Young wrote.
The technical wound up being costly, as the Rockets beat OKC by one, 104-103.
