Magic held to 56 points in blowout loss to Celtics
Those sharpshooting Magic the NBA has been introduced to early this season?
They went on hiatus Monday night.
Orlando set franchise lows for points (56) and field goals (16) in an embarrassing 87-56 loss to the Celtics.
Ryan Anderson, who scored 30 points last Monday in a 102-93 win over the Knicks, finished 0-for-8 shooting and 0-for-4 from three.
The Magic trailed 46-36 at the break, then scored just 10 points apiece in the third and fourth quarters. They finished the game 16-for-65 shooting, or 24.6 percent.
Already this season, three players have connected on 16 shots in a single game. LeBron James (34 points on Dec. 30 vs. Minnesota) and Carmelo Anthony (37 points on Jan. 6 vs. Washington) each hit 16 field goals in a game, and Kobe Bryant (48 points on Jan. 10 vs. Phoenix) hit 18 shots in a game.
Boston also forced 23 turnovers, including 13 steals, and blocked nine shots.
Bass and Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 19 points.
