After an extended absence, Derrick Rose was back on the court for the Bulls last Sunday, playing 39 minutes in a 100-99 overtime loss to the Knicks.

Rose, who was sidelined with a groin injury, was originally listed as day-to-day. In the end, though, there were questions whether the reigning MVP would even return for the playoffs.

Newsday.com readers were skeptical, too: A majority believed that Rose would either miss the rest of the regular season, or even the playoffs:

When will Derrick Rose return to the Bulls lineup?

Before the end of the regular season - 33%
In the playoffs - 42%
He won't play again this year - 25%

This week, we turn our attention to the Western Conference playoff chase. The Grizzlies, owners of one of the easiest schedules down the stretch, are now 33-23, 1/2 game behind the Clippers for fourth in the West after beating Lob City last night.
