Monta Ellis doesn't scare Newsday.com's readers.

In a poll posted last week, users overwhelmingly predicted that the Knicks, not the Bucks or Cavs, would make the East playoffs.

Since voting opened, Milwaukee beat Cleveland and Golden State, running their winning streak to five games. The Bucks also added dynamic scorer Monta Ellis, and dealt struggling forward Stephen Jackson.

The Knicks have been hot, too, undefeated since Mike Woodson replaced Mike D'Antoni as head coach. Cleveland, meanwhile, has just one win in the last four games.

As of today, the Knicks hold the No. 8 spot in the East. They lead the Bucks by 1/2 game, and Cleveland by three games.

Which Eastern Conference team is most likely to make the playoffs?

Knicks - 78%
Milwaukee Bucks - 17%
Cleveland Cavaliers - 6%

This week, we turn our attention to the Western Conference. The No. 8 seed has several contenders right now, namely the Rockets, Suns, Jazz and Timberwolves. Which team is most likely to sneak into the postseason? Vote below or by clicking here.
