Tim Duncan sets NBA playoff block record
Oklahoma City crushed San Antonio in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals 102-82 Thursday night, but it didn't stop Spurs forward Tim Duncan from making history.
Duncan's fourth block of the night gave him 477 career playoff blocks, the most in NBA history. The veteran added one more block to bring his postseason total to 478.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar previously held the record with 476 blocks in the playoffs; Hakeem Olajuwon is third with 472.
Duncan's rejection was fifth on the NBA's list of top plays from Thursday night. Duncan was beaten out by a no-look pass from Manu Ginobili to Tony Parker, a pair of alley-oops, and a Kevin Durant dunk.
