The moratorium on free agents officially signing with teams was lifted at midnight Wednesday. And as expected, Deron Williams signed with the Nets, and Steve Nash was shipped to the Lakers.

Brandon Roy, the former Trail Blazer who retired during the 2010-11 season at the suggestion of team doctors because of chronic knee problems, plans on returning to the NBA next season. And teams are reportedly already knocking at his door.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Bulls, Mavericks, Pacers and Timberwolves are all interested in signing the three-time All-Star.

The Chicago Bulls are preparing for the 2012-13 season as if starting point guard Derrick Rose won't be available.

During Chicago's first round series against the 76ers, Rose tore his ACL and meniscus. And according to Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times, "The Bulls aren't counting on Rose returning next season. They aren't even planning on it."
