Less than a week after cracking Time's "Most Influential People" list, Jeremy Lin was named by Forbes as one of the country's 10 most influential athletes.
Lin, the lone NBA player on the list, was ranked 10th.
Two NBA players dropped out of the top 10 from last year; LeBron James, and Shaquille O'Neal, who was ineligible for the list because he retired.

Injury may keep Jeremy Lin from being named the league's Most Improved Player, but the Knicks point guard now has another chance at some NBA hardward.
Lin was named one of six NBA finalists for the 2011-12 NBA Sportsmanship Award. The award is given to the player who "best represents the ideals of sportmanship on the court."
