ORLANDO – The Knicks have come up small when they’ve gone big this year, but that isn’t stopping Mike Woodson from starting the frontcourt of Carmelo Anthony, Andrea Bargnani and Tyson Chandler.

They are 0-4 this season with that starting frontline. Yet Woodson said this morning that he would start that lineup Monday against the Magic.

The Knicks used it Saturday against the Grizzlies, and were out-rebounded 56-29 and gave up 60 points in the paint.

“There’s no excuse for not rebounding the basketball,” Woodson said. “That takes effort and just mixing it up a little bit. So I’m going to try it again tonight and I expect them to get in there and rebound the basketball.

“You can’t have two seven-footers and a 6-7 guy not come up with rebounds. That’s a problem. So we’ll see how it turns out tonight.”

The Magic aren’t as big as Memphis and don't have Zach Randolph. But Nikola Vucevic is a good rebounder and Glen “Big Baby” Davis is physical and takes up space.

Anthony said it’s up to the players to adjust to whatever lineup Woodson uses and play harder.

“We got pounded pretty tough on the boards [Saturday], in the paint,” Anthony said. “Giving up that many paint points is just unacceptable, but it could’ve happened with the small lineup in there, as well. It just so happened that we had that big lineup in there. So I don’t want to jump the gun on that right now. Like I said, we don’t know what lineup is going to be out there on any given night.”

Woodson confirmed that Metta World Peace may undergo some type of knee procedure. He said it would be up to World Peace and the Knicks’ doctors.

“He’s mentioned that,” Woodson said. “I don’t know where he’s going in terms of that direction. He’s in tune with our medical people. I’m sure they’ll figure it if he decides he wants to do something.”

Raymond Felton (strained hamstring) remains a game-time decision. Woodson said if Felton plays he’ll start. He’s missed the last six games.
