J.R. Smith officially re-signed with the Knicks Thursday.

The NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year inked a four-year deal for roughly $25 million. The fourth year is a player option.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Knicks went through shootaround this morning without J.R. Smith, who Mike Woodson said had a 102-degree temperature.

The Knicks are listing Smith as questionable tonight against the Pacers. But Carmelo Anthony removed any question about Smith’s status for the pivotal Game 3 of this Eastern Conference semifinal series that’s tied at 1-1.

Knicks beat Boston in intense preseason game

This didn’t feel like a preseason game from the very beginning. The Knicks and the Celtics played an intense game that featured both benches standing down the stretch, screaming things at each other and urging on their teammates.
