Mike Woodson is no-longer a coach on the last year of his contract.

The Knicks announced that they picked up the 2014-15 option on Woodson’s deal. Woodson is 72-34 in his 1 ½ seasons as Knicks coach.

Woodson, who replaced Mike D’Antoni in 2012, He guided them to 54 wins and their first Atlantic Division title in 19 years last season. “I have long respected Mike and think he has done a remarkable job since becoming the head coach of the Knicks,” new president and general manager Steve Mills said. “After spending time with him recently, it is clear that picking up his option is an easy decision.”

Woodson’s .679 winning percentage is second-best in franchise history. He’s 7-10 in the playoffs as Knicks coach.
