Mike Woodson said Amar’e Stoudemire scrimmaged yesterday and was going to talk to him about he’s feeling after shootaround. Woodson should have some type of update on Stoudemire before tonight’s game against the Celtics.
But Stoudemire won’t play tonight or tomorrow at the Nets.
The earliest he would return from a bulging disk in his back is Friday at Cleveland with Sunday in Atlanta...

The Knicks expect Tyson Chandler to play tomorrow night against the Celtics.
The team didn’t practice today, but Chandler came in for treatment on his sore left knee. Chandler banged his knees with Joel Anthony in Sunday’s loss to the Heat and could hardly move in the fourth quarter.
Chandler has been the heart and soul of the Knicks this season, and the leader of their vastly improved...

Amar’e Stoudemire joined the Knicks on this two-game road trip that begins in Indiana and ends in Orlando.
It could be a good sign that his back is feeling a little better or maybe Stoudemire wanted to be around the team and then go home and spend a couple days in Orlando. It’s not unheard of – Baron Davis did it when the Knicks went to L.A. for the first road trip of the season and he was...

The Knicks aren’t practicing today and it’s not just because they’ve won eight-of-nine games since Mike Woodson became interim coach.
Woodson gave them their second day off this week to keep them physically fresh and able to play. It’s a good move since the Knicks are so banged up.
They’re already without Amar’e Stoudemre (back), Jeremy Lin (knee), Jared Jeffries (knee) and Bill Walker...

Amar’e Stoudemire did not attend the Knicks' Monday morning practice as the team wanted him to skip the drive up to the practice facility so that he could rest his sore back.
Stoudemire is listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Also listed as questionable is Jeremy Lin, the Knicks' starting point guard. Lin, who has a sore knee, did practice fully with...

Since Mike Woodson replaced Mike D’Antoni, the Knicks have lauded their new coach for holding them accountable and have talked about how much they needed that.
By doing that, they’re more than intimating D’Antoni wasn’t holding them accountable enough.
“He was,” Amar'e Stoudemire said before the Knicks' 106-87 win over Toronto. “It’s just a matter of coach Woodson being very vocal about...

Mike Woodson ran his first practice as Knicks interim coach. They watched film, went over some defensive principles and schemes and also added some plays to the offense.
They will keep some of Mike D’Antoni’s offense in tact because the team knows them. But Woodson has made it clear both in his introductory press conference yesterday before the Knicks beat the Blazers 121-79 and again today...
