Newsday's Al Iannazzone takes you inside the Knicks.
The first part of the Knicks’ season featured more trade rumors and reports that Mike Woodson was close to being fired than actual wins.
Both should continue through the All-Star break and into next week.
The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 20 and the Knicks are 20-32 heading into the break. So expect rumors of Woodson being on his way out to persist and trade talks to heat up.

Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely after an MRI releaved a torn ligament in his left elbow, the Knicks said.
Bargnani sustained the injury in the third quarter of last night’s loss to the 76ers. The 7-foot forward drove and was fouled as he went up for a dunk and landed hard.

GREENBURGH – The Knicks made it official, and announced the signing of Jeremy Tyler this morning. They waived Chris Smith to make room for Tyler.
The 6-foot-10 Tyler averaged 18 points and 10.2 rebounds in six games with the Knicks’ D-League team, the Erie BayHawks. The Knicks signed him over the summer and he likely would have made the team in training camp if he hadn’t broken his foot in...Read more »
Raymond Felton missed the last four games with a pinched nerve in his hip, but he will return tonight to face Chris Paul and the Clippers.
The Knicks, losers of six straight, could use all the help they can get. But Felton wasn’t playing well defensively when he was healthy, and Paul isn’t the best guy to face when you’re coming off an injury like that.

Mike Woodson is planning to change his starting lineup tomorrow night against the Pistons.
The Pistons start a Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond frontline so Woodson said he “might match to their bigness.”

"Backup center," Mills, the Knicks' president and GM said. "That's something we clearly need to worry about."
This was this long before Tyson Chandler broke a bone in his right leg, which will sideline him four-to-six weeks. The Knicks should have addressed this glaring weakness during the...Read more »
