You had to know this was coming after Carmelo Anthony needed to be restrained outside the Celtics' locker room and after he went to Boston's bus looking for Kevin Garnett with all those security and police there.
You had to know after TMZ and other outlets had video of the post-game incidents that this was coming.

This didn’t feel like a preseason game from the very beginning. The Knicks and the Celtics played an intense game that featured both benches standing down the stretch, screaming things at each other and urging on their teammates.
