Tracy McGrady did not dress for Monday's game against the Hawks. Mike D'Antoni said the former all-star told him he needed a night off because of fatigue.

"He just said he was sore," D'Antoni said. "His body was just dead and it would be better if he took the night off. I don't know after that."

D'Antoni did say that McGrady is expected to be back in the lineup for Wednesday's game in San Antonio for the start of a five-game road trip. The trip will include a back-to-back over the weekend, with a game Friday in Memphis and Saturday in Dallas.

With McGrady out, D'Antoni returned Sergio Rodriguez into the starting lineup (a move he said he would have done anyway because McGrady at the point was causing the Knicks to play too slow). Another lineup change saw Wilson Chandler return to the power forward spot and Al Harrington returned to the bench.
