James — born and raised in Akron, Ohio, about 40 miles south of Cleveland — was rooting for the Indians to win the World Series against Wade’s hometown Cubs. The two close friends put a friendly wager on the result of the series, with the loser having to don the winning team’s uniform to a future game between the Cavs and Bulls.

With the Cubs ending a 108-year championship drought by overcoming a 3-1 World Sereis deficit against the Indians, James arrived at the arena suited up from head to toe in Cubs gear.
