An NBA blog from Newsday's Bobby Bonett
King, Blaylock, Kidd, Williams and the 21 biggest Nets trades
OK, so Dwight Howard isn't getting traded to the Nets. At least, reports suggest that's the case. Heck, by the time you finish reading this, the trade talks might be back on.
But that won't stop us from having some Nets trade-themed fun, right?
Newsday looked back in Nets history and selected 21 of the biggest trades in franchise history. Starting with the team's acquisition of Tiny Archibald in 1976, and culminating with Brooklyn's trade for Joe Johnson this offseason, the list includes several current or eventual Hall of Famers (Archibald, Bob McAdoo, Jason Kidd), a few highway robberies (Sam Cassell and Jim Jackson for a handful of role players) and several forgettable dealings (sending Mookie Blaylock to Atlanta for Rumeal Robinson).
Look back at the trades, and then comment on what deals were your favorite.
