3 reasons of concern of the 2012-13 Nets

Interior defense

Center Brook Lopez hasn’t shown he can be a consistent force defensively in the paint, and Kris Humphries (pictured) has trouble with smaller, quicker power forwards. Coach Avery Johnson may be forced to start Reggie Evans at times to set a tone early.

Jell-O

The one drawback of having nine new faces is the fact that the team hasn’t played together much, meaning it’s going to take some time to jell and develop chemistry. The Nets' success hinges on how quickly it happens.

Deron’s ankle

Everything seems to be going fine with Williams’ left ankle, which needed a cortisone shot last week to alleviate some inflammation. He has missed some time in his Nets’ tenure with injuries, and they're simply not the same without him.
