Phil Jackson's days sitting at the end of the bench are over, but the man with 11 championship rings as a coach admitted he was a bit intrigued by the Nets.

Speaking on the "Dan Patrick Show" Tuesday, the Hall of Fame coach said the top offer he recently received to return to the sidelines involved the Nets.

“The Brooklyn situation was a good situation,” Jackson said.

GM Billy King reached out to Jackson early on in the process to gauge any potential interest and a league source told Newsday last week that Jackson liked the Nets' roster. However, Jackson expressed that he was done with coaching.

Jackson confirmed Tuesday the Nets never offered him a front office gig, something he's reportedly seeking rather than another return to the bench.

"No, that was coaching basically," Jackson said. "They wanted to know if I was still interested in coaching."

If he was, would he have coached only the home games and left it up to an assistant coach to take the reins on the road? Jackson chuckled.

"I didn't even think about it," he said.
