Gerald Wallace summed the Nets' feelings up rather easily.

"It feels like we haven’t played in two months," the swingman said following Friday's practice at the Barclays Center. "We are anxious to get out on the court and just play against somebody other than ourselves."

Due to the effects of superstorm Sandy, the Nets' opener scheduled for Thursday at the Barclays...

We now have a new date for the first matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and the Knicks.

The NBA announced Thursday night that the game will be played Nov. 26, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. on TNT. That's not necessarily a good thing for the Nets, given that will wind up being their third game in a four-night span.

The Nets host the Clippers on Nov. 23 on the heels of their three-game...

The Nets practiced on Sunday rather than Monday, switching their scheduled off days with hopes they'd get the opportunity to hit the court again Tuesday in Hurricane Sandy's aftermath.

No such luck, though.

They've canceled Tuesday's practice in part due to the conditions -- downed trees, flooded streets and broken power lines -- and were tentatively still schedule to practice Wednesday...

MarShon Brooks might make his preseason debut tonight.

The second-year shooting guard hasn’t played in the Nets’ first three preseason games as he dealt with some tendinitis in his right foot. But Brooks will be a game-time decision when the Nets meet the Celtics in their nationally-televised preseason matchup at the Barclays Center.

“We are going to put him through the full shootaround...

The Nets' defense remains a work in progress.

Defense was certainly an issue, particularly on the interior in the first half of Monday's 98-88 win at the Barclays Center. The Wizards essentially had their way in the paint, grabbing offensive rebounds and creating some havoc.

The Nets yielded four offensive boards to Washington in the first half and things weren't great out on the perimeter,...

So what exactly happened between Deron Williams and A.J. Price?

The Nets’ All-Star point guard said their brief squabble late in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s 98-88 victory over the Wizards in their preseason home opener at the Barclays Center stemmed from the Long Island native running his mouth.

“He started talking for no reason,” Williams said.

Williams was dribbling...

But they're about to get their second peek at the Barclays Center in a matter of a week.

The Nets, who conducted media day at their new arena on Monday, are set to hold a practice there on Sunday, hours...

For the first two years of his tenure as the Nets head coach, there wasn't much pressure on Avery Johnson.

How could there be?

The Nets had their eyes on their move to Brooklyn and tried to position themselves financially for the Summer of 2012, when the likes of Deron Williams and others were expected to become free agents. But now that they have Williams back in the fold and have retooled...

Training camp can’t get here fast enough for the Nets.

In fact, they’re so eager to get things cranked up that most of the players have already showed up at the team’s New Jersey training facility. Some began arriving earlier this month and just about everyone has participated in the action, which includes pick-up games and conditioning.

Andray Blatche and Josh Childress are expected...

Mikhail Prokhorov doesn't need a crystal ball to peer into the Nets' future.

The Nets' billionaire owner is certain his franchise will have a NBA title and a Larry O'Brien trophy to call its very own sometime relatively soon. As in by 2015.
