Nets hope to turn pressure around on Bulls
CHICAGO -- They’re back at the scene of that epic collapse, ready to truly put brutal triple-overtime loss here five days ago on the backburner.
But if the Nets are going to keep their season from coming to an abrupt end, they’ll have to find a way to get a victory at the United Center -- something they’ve failed to do four previous times this season -- when they meet the Bulls in Game 6 of...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- When Reggie Evans was first introduced to the media following his sign-and-trade with the Clippers, he left no bones about his intentions on the offensive end.
“I ain’t trying to score,” he said in July.
But now, Evans is understanding that line of thought may have to change, particularly with him in the starting lineup. Although he viewed things in a different...

“Y’all will hear the truth sooner or later,” the Nets' Andray Blatche said about a police investigation regarding an alleged sexual assault incident in his Philadelphia hotel room earlier this week. “When the time comes and I can talk about it, everybody will realize it’s not what you think.” Blatche spoke publicly about the matter for the first time after the team’s practice...

Let’s be honest.
It looked like the Thunder were about to blow the Nets away in the third quarter, when they opened up that 15-point lead. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were having fun, bouncing all over the Barclays Center.
Durant tried to posterize Andray Blatche. Westbrook was acting like he was a cowboy in the Wild West, blowing off a pair of six-shooters and pretending to stick...

MIAMI -- Andray Blatche fired the first salvo, not long after the Nets dispatched the awful Magic Friday night.
With the defending champion Heat on tap Saturday night and the Nets in the midst of a five-game winning streak that’s propelled them to the best start through 15 games in franchise history, Blatche figured it was the perfect time to show the Nets are oozing with confidence.
He...

There were smiles all around.
Those two nasty losses were finally in the rearview mirror Friday night, cast aside with a 107-68 pummeling of the Magic at Amway Center. The Nets were thrilled to take care of business against a team with a roster loaded with mostly unproven players, making that late-night flight from the Sunshine State back to Newark all that much more enjoyable.
“Winning...

Orlando, Fla. -- MarShon Brooks is the latest member of the Nets to be bitten by that dreaded injury bug.
The second-year shooting guard sprained his left ankle in a freak play during Friday morning's shootaround, forcing him to miss the Nets' matchup with the Magic. Brooks thinks he'll only be out for a coule of games at most, but he was limping badly inside the locker room before...

Gerald Wallace’s sprained left ankle hasn’t sufficiently healed and the veteran swingman isn’t going to play against the Timberwolves. Keith Bogans will start in his place.
Wallace injured himself in the closing minute of Saturday night’s 107-100 win over the Raptors, rolling his ankle on...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Andray Blatche's ears are working perfectly fine, so he was able to hear the chatter emanating from the end of the Knicks' bench during Wednesday's preseason finale at Nassau Coliseum.
Iman Shumpert was the main culprit blasting Blatche, screaming out loudly every time Blatche got the ball in his hands: "He's horrible! He's terrible!"
Let's just...
