MarShon Brooks got some good news Friday, a day after making his preseason debut.
The Nets picked up the third-year team option on Brooks' rookie contract, the team announced prior to tip off of their preseason matchup with the Sixers at the Barclays Center. Brooks, who was nursing tendinitis in his right foot, is scheduled to make $1,210,080 in 2013-14.

Defense was certainly an issue, particularly on the interior in the first half of Monday's 98-88 win at the Barclays Center. The Wizards essentially had their way in the paint, grabbing offensive rebounds and creating some havoc.
