Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for using obscene language in a public setting on Saturday before Game 1 of Toronto's first-round playoff series against the Nets, it was announced last night by commissioner Adam Silver.

Ujiri was hired by the Raptors last summer after winning the 2013 Executive of the Year award while working for the Denver Nuggets.

Thousands of Raptors fans had gathered at an outdoor rally to celebrate the franchise's first postseason appearance since 2008.
