Paul Pierce lifts Celtics past Jazz

Paul Pierce scored 23 points, including two free throws with 19.5 seconds left, lifting the Celtics to a 98-93 victory over the Jazz Wednesday night in Boston.

Jeff Green and Leandro Barbosa each scored 16 points for the Celtics, who won for the fifth time in six games.

Rockets 100, Hornets 96: James Harden scored 30 points for host Houston. Former Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin had four points and four assists.

Grizzlies 107, Thunder 97: Rudy Gay scored a season-high 28 points and Zach Randolph added 20 points and 11 rebounds before getting ejected along with Kendrick Perkins during a late-game altercation for visiting Memphis. Kevin Durant scored a season-high 34 points, and Russell Westbrook had 17 points and 13 assists for OKC.

Pistons 94, 76ers 76: Greg Monroe had 19 points, 18 rebounds and six assists to help host Detroit to its first win of the season. Kyle Singler scored 16 points for a 1-8 Detroit team off to its worst start ever.

Clippers 107, Heat 100: Blake Griffin had 20 points and 14 rebounds and Chris Paul had 16 points and 10 for the Clippers. LeBron James scored 30 points for the Heat, which lost its fifth in a row against the Clippers in Los Angeles.

Bobcats 89, T-Wolves 87: Kemba Walker's jumper with 0.7 of a second left lifted visiting Charlotte.

Mavericks 107, Wizards 101: Chris Kaman scored 23 points and had eight rebounds in only his second start for host Dallas.

Bulls 112, Suns 105: Carlos Boozer had 28 points and 14 rebounds to help visiting Chicago outlast Phoenix in overtime.

Warriors 92, Hawks 88: Rookie Harrison Barnes had 19 points and 13 rebounds for the host Warriors.

Bucks 99, Pacers 85: Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis scored 16 points apiece for host Milwaukee. -- AP
