Mikkel Kessler is out of the Showtime Super Six World Boxing Classic due to an eye injury, he announced today.

Kessler's fight against Allan Green, set for September 25 in Denmark, is off.

Kessler (43-2, 32 KOs) is the second fighter to pull out. Jermain Taylor left the tourney shortly after a loss to Carl Froch.

It's unclear what Showtime will do with the remainder of the tournament. Although no official announcement has been made, it's highly unlikely another fighter will be added to the tournament.

It's also unclear what will happen with Green. Green, a replacement for Taylor, suffered a lopsided defeat to Andre Ward earlier this year.
