The Colonial Athletic Association has changed the schedule for the 2013 men's lacrosse championship. The semifinal will now be Wednesday, May 1 and the title game will be Friday, May 3.
With the No. 1 seed already locked up, Penn State will host the conference tournament in University Park, Pa.

The senior midfield scored 22 goals, had 40 draw controls, 13 ground balls.
The senior defense was a second-team All-CAA pick last year with 12 ground balls, 10 draw controls and 13 caused turnovers.

Hofstra basketball coach Mo Cassara confirmed that Jamal Coombs-McDaniel is done for the season with a knee injury.
Coombs-McDaniel, a 6-foot-7 junior forward, sat out last season after transferring from the University of Connecticut. Coombs-McDaniel was part of UConn's NCAA championship team in 2010-11. He averaged 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in two seasons.

The Colonial Athletic Association, home to Hofstra’s athletic program, announced a three-year agreement to hold its men’s basketball tournament at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore starting in 2014. The tournament has been held at Richmond Coliseum since 1990. 1st Mariner Arena seats 11,800. It was the site for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 1995.

Hofstra: The Pride (3-7) has had a rough go of it lately, particularly on offense. The Pride has failed to reach the 60-point plateau in four of its last five games. Hofstra wrestler Russell Benner has been suspended from the team for an insensitive comment he made on Twitter, wrestling coach Rob Anspach announced Thursday, and will be required by the school to perform community service.
