Bernard Hopkins vs. Lance Armstrong

Bernard Hopkins worked out for the media on Tuesday at Gleason's Gym. But before he got into the ring, he talked about Lance Armstrong and PEDs. Videojournalist: Robert Cassidy (March 5, 2013)

On Saturday night, 48-year-old Bernard Hopkins fights IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Hopkins will attempt to break his own record as the oldest man to win a world title.

And while that fight is still a few days away, on Tuesday, the former champion took on Lance Armstrong. In this video, Hopkins said Armstrong duped the government, Nike and all his sponsors. The fighter pointed to his own longevity and sustained success to  suggest that he, not Armstrong, is the type of athlete worthy of a $50-million endorsement deal from Nike.

"Lance Armstrong had all ya' all fooled," Hopkins said. He also added, "I'm different. I'm clean... I'm doing this off of nuts and bananas."
