In a little over a month, Mike Tyson will make his Broadway debut in his one-man show, entitled "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth."

The show – which will be a candid confessional of Tyson’s life – will run for six nights only at the Longacre Theater from July 31 to Aug. 5 and will be produced by film director Spike Lee.

Not to worry though. Tyson’s publicist told me Monday that some tickets are still available. (But act fast!)

Surprisingly, it was a seemingly innocuous drive down a Las Vegas highway that was the brainchild for his Broadway stint.

It made its debut in April for a weeklong run at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Upon seeing a billboard for Chaz Palminteri’s "A Bronx Tale," Tyson and his wife went to see it. "And as we’re watching," Tyson recalled on Monday, "I said: ‘Baby, you know I can do that stuff, right?’"

Though neither he nor Lee have experience on Broadway, Tyson is confident the show will be a success.

"I’m extremely excited, a little nervous," he said at a charity golf outing on Long Island. "But I know it will do well. My wife is a competent writer and she’s writing now and getting prepared for the show. I’m just ready to see the script."

Tyson was one of several athletes at the inaugural "Big Daddy Celebrity Golf Classic" at Oheka Castle in Huntington. Proceeds from the event – which was organized by Coastal Advisors founder and brain aneurysm survivor Rich "Big Daddy" Salgado – will benefit North Shore LIJ’s Brain Aneurysm Center.

"I’m always interested in doing something for the betterment of somebody less fortunate, as far as health concerns," Tyson said. "That’s just really what I’m about these days."
