After his dismantling of Robert Guerrero on May 4, its clear Floyd Mayweather Jr. has what it takes to fulfill his six-fight deal with SHOWTIME. So just how big is this weekend for Canelo Alvarez? A convincing win against Austin Trout at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Saturday night would put him in the driver’s seat for his next fight.

Austin "No Doubt" Trout scored a resounding 12-round win over Miguel Cotto to retain the WBA super welterweight title at Madison Square Garden. It was the first time - after seven victories - that Cotto had been defeated at the Garden.

There has been a change at the top. Andre Ward takes over the top spot in the Neutral Corner Top 10 pound-for-pound list. Floyd Mayweather Jr. fans won’t like it, but Ward has been active and he’s beaten most of the top 168-pound fighters in the world and the best light heavyweight.
