It was a balanced scoring attack that led the Yellow Jackets. Gani Lawal had 14 points and Derrick Favors added 12 for Georgia Tech in its 64-59 win. Glen Rice Jr. had nine points off the bench and Zach Peacock came off the bench for eight points. Ian Shumper also had nine points for Tech.

Georgia Tech made its move in the second half. Trailing 39-33 with 17:57 left, Rice converted a four-point play, sparking a 12-4 run that gave Tech a 45-43 lead with 12:54 left.
