Other than Villanova dropping from 3 to 8th, there wasn't much major movement in the top 10. Kentucky and Purdue moved up one spot to 3rd and4th, respectively. Syracuse moved up two spots to 5th, while Duke moved up one place to 7th.

North Carolina jumped up one spot from 11th to 10th. Georgetown, thanks to a strong win on the road against Washington, moved up from 15th to 11th. UNLV and Wisconsin dropped out of the poll. Butler, despite losing to Georgetown and beating an Ohio State team that's missing its best player, moved up a spot to 21st.

Locally, St. John's received 30 votes and Seton Hall received 24.
