Marquette shot 65.2 percent from the floor and was 6-of-6 from three-point range in the second half, to outlast Villanova, 80-76, in Thursday's Big East quarterfinals.

The Golden Eagles will face Georgetown in the semifinals.

Darius Johnson-Odom led all scorers with 24 points and five assists.

Lazar Hayward had 20 points and seven rebounds, David Cubillian added 17 and Jimmy Butler chipped in 14 points and eight boards for Marquette, which twice lost to the Wildcats in January and in last year's tournament on a buzzer-beating lay-up.

"They just continued to answer every play, every situation," said Villanova coach Jay Wright. "Every little adjustment we made, they had an answer for. They just did a great, great job. I have to give them credit."
