St. John's, after spending some time behind Seton Hall, moved back into the top spot. Consecutive wins over Big East foes Cincinnati and DePaul gave voters a little more confidence. Seton Hall drops to No.2, while Fairfield and Iona, who have been playing well, will occupy the second and third spots. Don't look now, but St. Peter's made its first appearance of the season.

Rider and Princeton moved up two spots, Rutgers dropped one place, Stony Brook fell to slots to sixth and Army stayed at nine. Hofstra, which is in a dreadful slump, dropped out.
