As expected, Florida State is No. 1, followed by Ohio State and Auburn. As stated in an earlier post, the debate for who should be No. 2 will rage on. Proof is in the pudding as the Buckeyes have just a .0270 lead over Auburn.
How about this for a scenario? Believe it or not, we could see an Alabama-Auburn rematch in the national title game. If Florida State and Ohio State both lose in their...Read more »
Slowly but surely, Baylor is creeping into the national championship race. If the Bears can win at No. 10 Oklahoma State on Saturday, things could get really tight for 3rd-ranked Ohio State, which plays lowly Indiana on Saturday. That was a result of a tumultuous weekend that featured five ranked SEC teams losing. Texas A&M, LSU, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida all took a loss. Making matters even more intriguing,...Read more »

Here’s a little mid-season Heisman Hype
In the thick of things…
Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson, Sr.: Boyd (1,783 yards, 15 TDs, 2 INT) doesn’t get the Heisman Hype other players get because he plays in the ACC. But the Tigers are 6-0 and have an excellent chance of making a BCS bowl appearance. Winning the ACC conference championship in addition to an undefeated regular season would raise Boyd’s...Read more »

There are many things that could be decided this weekend, including the futures of Mack Brown and Bo Pelini, the plight of Notre Dame and the legitimacy of Auburn and Michigan State.
