Talk about a big space to fill, junior Cody Precht faces a huge responsibility as he slides from right guard out to the right tackle spot that 6-8, 335-pound Michael Bamiro occupied the past three seasons at Stony Brook. It's sad to see the Notre Dame-Michigan rivalry coming to an end.
With a move to the ACC and new scheduling obligations, the Fighting Irish last year opted out of games against Michigan scheduled for 2015-17. The teams will meet next season in South Bend and then that’s it for now. The series could start up at some point in the future, but that’s undetermined.

No, Jadeveon Clowney didn’t wreak havoc on North Carolina in the Gamecocks’ 27-10 win. Stony Brook wide receiver Kevin Norrell, who led the Football Championship Subdivision in yards per catch (21.0) last season, has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA-sponsored Collegiate Bowl all-star game Jan. 19 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The game will be televised live on ESPN2, and ESPNU will provide live practice coverage during the week.
