Hofstra loses to Belmont, 85-75; Zeke Upshaw scores 25

Despite a 25-point, seven-rebound performance by Zeke Upshaw, who hit six three-pointers, Hofstra lost to Belmont, 85-75, in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tipoff's Springfield bracket championship game Sunday night in Uncasville, Conn.

Stephen Nwaukoni had 16 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for the Pride (2-4). Jordan Allen added 11 points and Jamall Robinson had 10.

Craig Bradshaw had 24 points and five assists and J.J. Mann added 22 points and five steals for Belmont (6-1).

Hofstra took a 12-2 lead as Upshaw, Robinson and Chris Jenkins hit three-pointers during an 11-0 run. The Pride shot 18-for-31 in the first half in taking a 46-43 lead.
