Jack Forster scored five goals and freshman TJ Sanders and junior Steve Aitken each had three to lead No. 8 Penn State to a 16-7 victory over Hofstra on Saturday night at Shuart Stadium.

The loss concludes Hofstra's season at 7-7, 2-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Penn State (11-3, 6-0), which won its ninth in a row, will be the No. 1 seed in the four-team conference tournament. The Nittany Lions will host Massachusetts on Wednesday.

Lance Yapor led the Pride with two goals and freshman Sam Llinares had a goal and an assist. Brad Loizeaux, Adrian Sorichetti, John Reicherter and Brian von Bargen scored the other Hofstra goals. Sophomore goalie Chris Selva, who entered the game as the No. 3 goalie in the nation, allowed 12 goals and made three saves in almost 42 minutes. Senior Ryan Brant played 14:23 in the cage and made four saves. Classmate Jason Rosenzweig played the final 3:46 and did not allow a goal.

Penn State goalie Austin Kaut, ranked No. 2 in the nation, made 10 saves and allowed four goals in 48:54.
