A Shuart Stadium record crowd of 13,519 flocked to Hofstra yesterday for the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament quarterfinals doubleheader.

It was the largest crowd to watch a sporting event at Hofstra, according to the Hofstra Sports Information office.

The previous Shuart record crowd was 13,447 in 2011, also for the NCAA men's lacrosse quarterfinals, highlighted by Virginia's victory over Cornell.
