Billy Gillispie resigns from Texas Tech

Billy Gillispie has resigned as head basketball ball coach at Texas Tech, the university announced Thursday. Gillispie got the job on March 20, 2011. His contract runs through April, 2013. Gillispie coached at UTEP, Texas A&M and Kentucky prior to taking the Texas A&M job.
